Red Arrows: English Riviera Airshow to feature legendary RAF display team - flying times and programme
Legendary RAF display team, the Red Arrows, are set to show of their aerial acrobatics at the English Riviera Airshow this weekend.
England's south coast will be looking to the skies as the English Riviera Airshow gets underway today (May 29). Taking place above Torbay’s natural amphitheatre, the three-day display features some of the biggest names in the skies - including the Red Arrows.
The legendary RAF display team will take part in the event, based at Paignton Green, in Esplanade Road, Paignton, on Friday and Saturday as it kicks off a season of air shows. On the first day of flying, the Red Arrows will be joined by the likes of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, featuring a Dakota, Hurricane, and a Spitfire, as well as a show from The Firebirds pyro display team.
And on Saturday, the Red Arrows will perform again, as well as the likes of the state-of-the-art RAF Typhoon and a display from the Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers.
On the ground, visitors can take in all the fun of the fair, with attractions including fairground rides and carnival stalls on offer on Paignton Green alongside a host of food and drink stands.
"The stunning English Riviera will once again provide the backdrop for extraordinary aerial displays from both military and civilian aircraft," an event spokesperson said. "You can pay a visit to our visiting RAF crews and say hello to the expert teams from the RAF Red Arrows, Royal Navy and Army. There will also be plenty happening on the water too."
The English Riviera Airshow runs from Friday, May 29, to Sunday, May 31.
