Three teenagers die in horror crash after car came off the road and hit a tree

The grandad of one of three teenagers who died in a car crash has shared the last words he said to him.
Mason Hall, 19, was killed on Sunday (24 October) evening along with two of his closest friends when a white Ford Fiesta they were travelling in came off the road and hit a tree.

Hide AdMason, his best friend Martin Ward and another teenager named locally as Ryan Lee all tragically died at the scene, The Star reports.
Grandad’s tribute to Mason
In an appearance on BBC Look North on Monday night, Mason’s grandad Peter Hall paid tribute to the ‘big strong lad’.
While laying flowers at the scene, he also shared that the 19-year-old had celebrated his birthday just days before the tragic crash.
“My other two grandkids, they were all crying last night,” said Mr Hall.

"We were at his birthday last week. His last words he said to me were ‘I don’t come to see you all that often grandad but I still love thee’.
“[He was a] Good lad. Big strong lad. 19 is no age is it?”
‘They had their whole lives ahead of them’
Tributes have also poured in online to the three boys, the Worksop Guardian reports.
One woman said the village had been left ‘shocked and heartbroken’ by the deaths.

Hide AdThey are described by those that knew them as being ‘lovely young boys’ and ‘vibrant souls’, with many residents saying they would ‘never be forgotten’ and sending love to their families.
One resident added: “These young men had their whole lives ahead of them, had plans for tomorrow, they had dreams and ambitions and more importantly, they had parents, brothers and sisters, friends and other loved ones who are now devastated at their loss.”
Firework display held to commemorate them
The two 19-year-olds and 18-year-old were travelling along Kiveton Lane in Rotherham before the car collided with a tree.
Despite a huge response by emergency services, nothing could be done to save any of the three boys.

Hide AdLast night, friends and family of the trio held private events to commemorate them, including a firework display which took place at Burgoyne Park, Aston, at 8pm.
Anyone with information about the collision, including those who may have dashcam footage relating to the crash, has been asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 676 of October 24.
