This is the moment bikers crash into each other during a circus cage show stunt called the "Globe of Death" that went wrong.

The incident took place at the Stankowich Circus in Bauru, in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo in Brazil on the evening of Sunday, October 13.

The footage, filmed by one of the spectators, shows four motorcyclists inside the "Globe of Death" racing around horizontally at high speed when one of them changes course and starts circling the globe from the inside vertically.

But they appear to fall out of sync, causing three of the bikers to suddenly stop dead as they smash into each other as the crowd gasps in horror.

The three motorcyclists were removed from the cage while the fourth continued to circle above them, with spectator Claudio Mourao saying that, after the fall, the circus lights were switched off, and the performance ended.

Local media reports said that the circus has said that none of the performers, who have not been named, was injured during the stunt.
