'The scariest hike in the world': Chinese walker strolls along sheer cliff face in Guizhou Province

The video was shot in Guiyang, in the Chinese Province of Guizhou. In the videos filmed and shared by the hiker, he was seen walking along a narrow, unprotected cliff edge with a width of only about 1.5 metres.

The area was surrounded by sheer vertical drops, with a steep cliff on one side and a perilous drop on the other. The risky walk along the dangerous terrain astonished onlookers, as any misstep could have led to a fatal fall.

The videos were posted on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok. A user called 'Lotus Root' commented: "I always thought it was taken by a drone"

Another called 'Xingbao' commented: "Hold me tight, I'm afraid I'll fall."

A third called 'Um' commented: "Put the phone camera inside. I'm afraid of heights."
