Simba has unveiled a new cooling mattress technology that aims to draw away excess body heat and is ideal for increasingly warm nights.

With UK heatwaves becoming increasingly frequent in spring, summer and even autumn, getting a comfortable night's sleep can be easier said than done.

But now Simba has launched something that could help - a new cooling mattress technology designed to help sleepers stay cooler when temperatures rise.

The new HeatRelease technology is exclusive to Simba in the UK and has been engineered specifically with hot nights in mind. How it works is very clever. It uses precision graphite cooling strips alongside graphite-infused Simbatex foam and Simba's breathable spring architecture to draw excess body heat away from the sleeper.

According to Simba, the technology can help keep sleepers up to 4.4°C cooler and maintain an ideal sleep temperature for up to eight hours, which in turn will help people get a good night’s sleep. It is also designed to start drawing heat away within 20 minutes, which could make a noticeable difference when you're trying to settle down as temperatures once again soar.

For anyone who regularly finds themselves throwing off the duvet, flipping the pillow over or struggling to get comfortable during a balmy night, the technology is certainly worth a closer look.

The Simba mattress designed with cooling in mind

HeatRelease comes as standard on Simba's flagship Hybrid Ultra mattress, which combines several of the brand's sleep technologies in one design.

The mattress features Simba's highest number of patented Aerocoil microsprings, two layers of graphite-infused Simbatex foam, a PureLift comfort layer, Stratos cool-touch cover and FusionCool layer, alongside a SupportCore spring system.

The price starts at £1,749 for a Single and is up to £2,999 for a Super King.

The technology is also available as an upgrade on two other Simba mattresses, giving shoppers more choice depending on the level of comfort and support they're looking for.

The Hybrid Luxe is designed around plush comfort and features Aerocoil microsprings, graphite-infused Simbatex foam, a breathable bamboo-infused wool layer and Steel SupportCore springs. HeatRelease is available as an optional upgrade, with prices starting from £1,998 for a Double with the upgrade.

Meanwhile, the Hybrid Pro combines Aerocoil spring technology with graphite-infused Simbatex foam, with HeatRelease also available as an upgrade. Double mattresses with the upgrade start at £1,498.

Plenty of time to decide if this Simba mattress is right

Buying a new mattress is a significant investment, particularly when this cooling technology comes with a premium price tag. Simba's 200-night trial could therefore provide some reassurance for anyone considering making the switch.

With heatwaves and warmer nights becoming an increasingly important consideration when choosing bedroom products, Simba's latest launch is an interesting development for anyone who wants their bed to work harder on hot nights.
