Africa Cup of Nations 2022: When will Liverpool, Chelsea & Arsenal players feature?

The 2022 Africa Cup of Nations gets underway this weekend.

The Africa Cup of Nations will kick off in Cameroon this year, with the first match taking place on Sunday January 9.

Premier League players will be away with their countries for over a month, with this year’s final taking place on Sunday February 6 at Olembe Stadium, Yaounde.

A number of English clubs will be missing their biggest stars, with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Thomas Partey and Riyad Mahrez linking up with their respective countries earlier this week.

The sides most affected by this month’s AFCON tournament are Arsenal (five players) and Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Watford - all missing five players.
