Toy Story 5 has just landed on Yoto and I've ordered it straight away for my son

Toy Story 5 has just landed on Yoto, and I've already ordered it for my son. If you've got a little Disney fan at home, the latest addition to the audio platform could be one to add to your Christmas or birthday wish list.

I'm always on the lookout for something a little different to keep my son entertained, and audio stories are a lovely way to enjoy familiar characters without needing to put a screen on. So, when I spotted that the new Toy Story 5 card had arrived on Yoto, I couldn't resist getting it.

The new Disney: Toy Story 5 audio story is a retelling of the latest adventure, read by Kiff VandenHeuvel. It features 10 short chapters, making it a handy option for listening in smaller chunks, whether that's during quiet time, before bed or while travelling. This time, Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang face a very different kind of rival: technology.

When Bonnie receives a new tablet called Lilypad, the toys find themselves competing for her attention. The story follows the familiar gang as they team up to take on the sleek new arrival and try to make sure playtime doesn't disappear. It's a fun premise that feels particularly relevant to families today, with the toys facing the challenge of keeping a child's attention in a world full of screens.

One of the things I like about Yoto is that it gives children a way to enjoy stories and characters they love through audio. Rather than watching everything on a screen, they can listen and use their imagination as the adventure unfolds.

Toy Story is such a familiar favourite, so I think this new story will be an exciting addition for young fans. Having 10 short chapters also sounds ideal for dipping in and out of the adventure, rather than having to listen to it all in one sitting.

I haven't listened to this new release with my son yet, but I've ordered it straight away because I know how much children enjoy revisiting characters they already love. The fact that this story centres on Woody, Buzz and Jessie facing a tablet also gives it a modern twist.

Packed with familiar characters, humour and the friendship at the heart of Toy Story, this audio retelling looks like a lovely option for children who enjoy the films.

If you're looking for a new story for a young Disney fan, Toy Story 5 is now available on Yoto and is one to keep in mind for your little one's audio collection. You can find the new story on the Yoto website.
