The office mini league battles, the getting one over on your brother in-law by telling him to triple-captain Coventry City flop Wesley Jobello, the last minute switch of striker that turns out to be a stroke of genius - it's all back, and it's set to be better than ever.
No longer is the popular online game the exclusive plaything of Premier League fans, with second-tier simulation Gaffr now in its second season, allowing followers of the Championship to build their own teams made up of the divisions top stars who will gain points from their real-life exploits on the field.
Here's our rundown of some of the best signings you could make for your side:

5. Aden Flint - Cardiff City - £5m
For a slightly cheaper option, look no further than Cardiff City's Aden Flint. His manager, Mick McCarthy, steadied the ship when he came in midway through the season last year, and they'll be looking to push for promotion in the upcoming campaign. Photo: Alex Burstow

6. Harry Wilson - Fulham - £9.5m
He's dazzled in the Championship on loan spells before, and will be rearing to go again after finally leaving Liverpool on a permanent deal. He's not super expensive, either, and looks fine value at £9.5m. Photo: Ross Kinnaird

7. David Brooks - Bournemouth - £8m
Now over his injury woes, the Wales international scored five goals and made seven assists last season, and looks capable of producing far more impressive figures this time around as he continues to blossom into a quality player. Photo: Jan Kruger

8. Ilias Chair - QPR - £7.5m
The Morrocco international, 23, is destined to break into the Premier League sooner or later. In the meantime, let's be glad we've got him at our disposal in fantasy football, shall we? He's a serious goal threat, but he's also prone to picking up bookings, which is a slight concern. Photo: Alex Pantling
