Up there with Kylian Mbappe as the most coveted young forward in world football, Europe's elite clubs are clamouring to get a piece of the Borussia Dortmund sensation, who's torn the Bundesliga apart with 34 goals in 36 matches since joining the club in 2019.
With the chances of his side qualifying for next season's Champions League in doubt, and a clause in his contract that could see him leave on the (relatively) cheap next year, everything is pointing to the 20-year-old bidding farewell to the Westfalenstadion after just one-and-a-half seasons in the German top tier.
And so, the burning questions is: who is going to emerge triumphant in the race to land the £150m-rated superstar?
We've taken a look at how OddsChecker's rate the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, and Real Madrid's chances of landing the lethal striker:
1. Liverpool - 25/1
Reds fans are crying out for the club to sign a new goal-machine, following the dire defence of their 2019/20 Premier League title. The bookies don't fancy it at all, however. Mind you, they are favourites to sign Mbappe from PSG... Photo: Lars Baron
2. Juventus - 25/1
The Serie A serial winners look highly unlikely to pick up a tenth consecutive league title, and Cristiano Ronaldo looks like he's on the way out the door to boot. The pricing here suggests a trip to Italy isn't on the cards of Haaland just yet, though. Photo: Lars Baron
3. Arsenal - 25/1
With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette already on the books, the Gunners are pretty well stocked for strikers, and will most likely spend their budget elsewhere. They'd struggle to meet his asking price, too. Photo: JORGE GUERRERO
4. Bayern Munich - 20/1
Borussia Dortmund have lost a star man to Bayern before, with Robert Lewandowski heading to the Bavarian giants back in 2014. While that was a pre-contract deal, rather than him being sold, they'll be eager not to strengthen a title rival again. Photo: LEON KUEGELER
