Attendances across Premier League grounds appear to be down on average compared to the 2019/20 season.
With capacity limited to little or none during the 2020/21 campaign, supporters were able to once again attend matches at full stadiums for the first time since the outset of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.
Just eight games into the 2021/22 season, crowds have been vociferous and jubilant with the majority of grounds operating at close to fully capacity on average.
Indeed, some clubs are only a few hundred attendees short of averaging a sell out every match while others are looking at a few thousand.
However, the statistics also show that crowds are down across the league on average, although only by a very small percentage which could be classed as negligible in most instances.
Some clubs, including Leeds Unites who were still a Championship side in the 2019/20 season, have bucked that trend and seen increased numbers this campaign.

Manchester United and Arsenal top the charts while Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have been seeing the benefits of their new stadiums with high attendance figures.
Meanwhile, the clubs with smaller stadiums may be propping up the list but are still seeing god number relative to their grounds capacity.
