UEFA Euro 2020 winners Italy will take on the CONMEBOL Copa América 2021 champions Argentina in the Finalissima.
The two teams will play each other at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday 1 June 2022.
Italy and Argentina will go head to head at 7.45pm UK time.

Tickets for the legendary event will go on sale Thursday 24 March at 1pm UK time.
You can buy tickets from UEFA.com with tickets starting at £25.
86,000 tickets will be sold for the match on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets come in the five following categories:
- Accessibility tickets for disabled spectators - £25
- Category 3 - £25
- Category 2 - £40
- Category 1 - £55
- Ticket Plus - £99
According to the UEFA site “Ticket+ is a Category 1 seat with access to the Wembley Club level, a premium lounge, a complimentary drink and access to a pay bar and food facilities. A pre-sale for this category will run from 22 to 24 March”.

What is the Finalissima?
The Finalissima is a fixture that pits the European winners against their South American counterparts.

UEFA and CONMEBOL have signed a renewed and extended Memorandum of Understanding which will be in place until June 2028, ensuring the future of the competition.

Hide AdAccording to the UEFA website the aim of the competition is “uniting countries, continents, and cultures, while also demonstrating to fans around the globe that football can be a force of good in turbulent times.”
UEFA president, Aleksander Čeferin said “We are delighted to build upon our excellent relationship with CONMEBOL, and our strong desire to act jointly for the development of football and its benefits to society…”
The CONMEBOL president, Alejandro Domínguez added “By signing this renewal and expansion of our Memorandum of Understanding we are laying the foundation for this fluent cooperation to grow and develop further.”
This will be the third time the UEFA Euro and CONMEBOL Copa América winners have met.

How does the Finalissima work?
The Finalissima is a one off match that will be played over 90 minutes.
There is no extra time during the match so if the game is still tied at the end of the regulation time then it will go straight to penalties.

England fans watched with bated breath but the team was unfortunately beaten in penalties 3-2.
In July 2021, Argentina beat previous winners Brazil in the final of the CONMEBOL Copa América.
