Kai Havertz baby: Arsenal striker reveals he and wife Sophia are expecting their first child

Taking to social media, the footballer announced that his wife is pregnant, showing off her baby bump while he was photographed with his arms around her.

Arsenal striker Kai Havertz, 25, has been with his wife Sophia since 2018 and the pair tied the knot at a lavish country manor in the summer of this year. Now, the couple have announced that Sophia is pregnant with their first child.

In a joint Instagram post, the pair shared four photos - including one with their dog holding a baby’s hat in its mouth - with friends, teammates and fans alike all congratulating the happy couple.

“Our biggest blessing,” Sophia wrote in the caption. In the comments, Helene Spilling, partner of Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, said: "We can’t wait to meet your little one."

Tolami Benson, who is Bukayo Saka’s girlfriend, added: “So excited!”

With a visible baby bump, it’s thought that Sophia is already a few months into her pregnancy - especially if the marriage was consumated at their July wedding.

So far this season, Havertz has scored eight goals in 18 appearances for Arsenal, having cemented himself as the club’s preferred striker over Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus.
