This is how Manchester United, Newcastle United and rivals would fare in the Premier League if VAR had not been in operation this season.

It's been a blockbuster Premier League season so far and the campaign will no doubt be remembered for Aston Villa's apparent title challenge, the debut of minnows Luton Town in the top flight and the bounceback of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.

However, among all those footballing highs, there is one debate that has somehow grown in prominence once again and riled players, managers and pundits alike. That is, of course, the beast that is VAR.

The new refereeing system is still far from perfect and some clubs will feel that they have lost matches and dropped points thanks to moments of miscommunication and errors in usage of the newfangled technology.
