UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw: When & where is it? How to watch and when the ties will take place

The Champions League group stage concludes tonight.

Manchester City and Liverpool completed their group stage fixtures last night.

Man City were beaten 2-1 by RB Leipzig but had already progressed as group winners, while the Reds took all three points from AC Milan and made it six wins from six.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Chelsea are set to face Young Boys and Zenit St Petersburg respectively.

Both sides have already advanced to the knockout stage and will be looking to confirm their place as group winners tonight.

Following the conclusion of tonight’s matches, fans will be waiting eagerly for the Round of 16 draw in which they will discover their next opponents.

Where & when is the draw?

The draw takes place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday 13 December.

The ceremony begins at 12:00 CET, which is 11am in the UK.

The draw will be shown live on BT Sport, starting at 10:45 and finishing at 12:00.

Which teams are in the draw?

16 teams advance from the group stage, with group winners being seeded while the runners-up are unseeded.

When will the round of 16 take place?

The first legs of the Champions League round of 16 are currently scheduled for 15th-16th February 2022, with the second leg due to take place on the 8th-9th March 2022.

The draw for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final is on Friday 18th March.
