How much does the winner of the Masters get?

The prize money for the 2022 edition of the Masters has been announced. There was a prize fund last year totalling $11,500,000. This year’s total is $15 million.

With the way that golf tournaments work there will be sums that have to be divided between multiple participants in the final leaderboard is there are ties for certain places - which is often the case.

However, the winner will be taking home an incredible multi-million dollar prize after Hideki Matsuyama earned just over $2 million for his 2021 win. The winner prize is $2.7 million (£2m) this year.

How much will the runner-up at The Masters win in prize money?

The runner-up will get $1.6m. $1.02 million to solo third.

$1.2 million is what the USA’s Will Zalatoris left with for his second place finish in 2021.

Xander Schauffele and Jordan Spieth both earned $667,000 for coming joint third last year while Marc Leishman and Jon Rahm left with $437,000 for finishing joint fourth.

England’s Justin Rose came seventh in 2021 and earned $385,250 for doing so while Corey Conners and Patrick Reed both got $345,000 for coming joint eighth.

Tony Finau and Cameron Smith tied for tenth place in 2021 and both left with $299,000 in prize money.
