The first matches of the season saw the Brooklyn Nets take on current champions the Milwaukee Bucks as well as the Golden State Warriors play the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Bucks looked to continue their 2020/21 form as Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated the match to take his team to a comfortable and easy 127-104 victory over the nets.

Despite strong performances from Basketball legend LeBron James and fellow teammate Anthony Davis, the Lakers were unable to restrain the Golden State Warriors as the San Francisco based team took a 115-106 victory.
