British athletes continue to compete for medals at Tokyo 2020.

In the first week of the 2021 Olympics, Charlotte Dujardin claimed two bronze medals in the dressage to become Britain’s most decorated female Olympian.

Dujardin now has six Olympic medals to her name and with Paris 2024 only three years away who would bet against her adding even more to her collection.

As well as equestrian, Team GB have been strong in other areas such as rowing and cycling – especially since the turn of the century thanks to Lottery funding.

But who is Britain’s most decorated Olympian of all time? Let’s take a look.

Which Team GB athlete has won the most Olympic medals?

Cyclist Jason Kenny tops the all-time British Olympian medal table with eight medals in all – seven golds and two bronze.

He is closely followed by fellow cyclist Sir Bradley Wiggins – who has five golds, one silver and two bronze – and Sir Chris Hoy, who has six golds and one silver.

Tied with rower Sir Steve Redgrave (five golds and one silver to his name) is Kenny’s wife Laura, who has five golds and one silver.
