As every former Wimbledon champion will tell you, family support is of paramount importance. Novak Djokovic, who is hoping to win his eighth title, will undoubtedly have his wife Jelena cheering him on at SW19.

Novak and Jelena first met at school in Serbia but did not start dating until around a decade later. In 2021, Jelena was spotted at the US Open wearing a T-shirt that featured her husband’s face inside a silhouette of a wolf. The words on the T-shirt read: “I run with the wolf.”

Novak and Jelena share two children together, Stefan and Tara. During the Australian Open, he spoke about his family with Jim Courier and said about his son: “The important thing is he is just loving what he is doing, whether it is tennis-whatever sport-of course as a father I want him to be active, be healthy.” Novak also spoke about his daughter Tara and was close to tears when he said:”She is not into tennis at all. She is into ballet, gymnastics. She’s a really cute girl.”

As well as being cheered on by his wife Jelena, Novak is always supported at Wimbledon by his coach Goran Ivanisevic who won Wimbledon back in 2001. Novak’s wife Jelena is also CEO of the Novak Djokovic Foundation.

According to the Novak Djokovic Foundation, it was founded “to transform the world by investing in early childhood development.” It goes on to say that “Through our programs and projects, we provide the means, methods, and materials necessary to reach our end goal: to enable every child in Serbia to attend early years programs.”
