Gemma Owen, Dani Dyer and Tommy Fury have all had famous supporters at home but were they successful in the villa and after leaving the ITV show?

As the stars of the summer 2023 Love Island jet off to Mallorca to be in with a chance of finding love, winning £50,000 and securing a Pretty Little Thing deal, fans of the show have been scrolling through their social media accounts to try and get to know the new villa tenants before the show airs on 5 June.

Eagle-eyed ITV viewers may have noticed one particular Love Islander named Molly Marsh accounting for her impressive social media following which is just shy off one million and her well-known actress mother Janet.

Janet has previously walked the cobbled roads of Coronation Street three times playing a variety of medical roles, as well as starring in the likes of Where The Heart Is and Love, Lies and Records to name a few.

24-year-old Molly is a performer in her own right after being cast in pantomimes such as Oliver and Sleeping Beauty in addition to being an influencer and a soon-to-be Love Islander.

Despite her well-known mum and her sizeable TikTok following, this does not secure Molly’s place in the villa until the final…this is not the first time a nepotism baby has arrived on the ITV show, but how have previous contestants done on Love Island and has it boosted their fame further after leaving?

Gemma Owen

For the first few days of Love Island 2022, fans were eager for the other islanders to ask about Gemma’s famous footballer father Michael Owen or even for the Liverpool FC legend to make a statement about his eldest entering the villa.

19-year-old Gemma went on to become a runner-up on the show with former partner Luca Bish losing out to Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

After leaving the villa and reuniting with her famous father, Gemma has gone on to secure a six-figure PLT deal following in the footsteps of Molly-Mae Hague and has gained over 1.5 million followers on Instagram.

Jack Keating

Gemma Owen’s nursery buddy and fellow 2022 nepo baby Jack Keating unfortunately did not fare as well in Casa Amor unlike bombshells Coco Lodge or Billy Brown.

Jack is the son of famous Irish singer and Boyzone member Ronan Keating and has since walked away from the villa becoming a father himself.

According to his social media, Jack often spends his time post-Love Island with his family or playing football.

Sophie Piper

If we throw our minds back to 2020, a year full of chasing the last toilet paper in supermarkets and binge-watching Netflix, ITV offered us a chance to escape to South Africa with its first winter Love Island.

Front and centre in Cape Town was Rochelle Humes’ doppelganger sister Sophie Piper who was sadly the seventh to be dumped from the island.

Since her departure, Sophie has continued to work for brands such as JD Sports, Boux Avenue and the infamous Pretty Little Thing.

Despite the hit and miss success stories of previous nepotism babies, Tommy Fury is perhaps the Love Islander, who was known before entering the villa, who has achieved the most after being named the wealthiest couple to come from the show.

Known for his famous boxing family, Tommy entered the villa in 2019 and is still in a relationship with his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague after they came second in the final.

On a personal level, Tommy has become a father to Bambi Fury and has a glorious Manchester home, while on a professional level, he has gone on to take part in massive boxing matches against the likes of Jake Paul.

Belle Hassan

Although some fathers may be worried about their daughters going on to a reality dating show, it was Belle Hassan’s famous father Tamer Hassan, who has appeared on Games of Thrones, who actually got her on to ITV2.

Belle entered as a bombshell in 2019 and returned to the main villa with Anton Danyluk but after receiving the fewest public votes, the couple were dumped from the island.

Four years later, Belle sadly announced that she had split with her boyfriend Kane on social media.

Dani Dyer

Could Dani Dyer be the ultimate Love Island nepo baby as she became the first well-known Islander accounting for her father of the same name?

As previously mentioned, your level of fame may not give you an automatic win on the show however Dani and her partner Jack Fincham won over the hearts of viewers and took home £50,000.

Although they split after leaving the villa, Dani has enjoyed appearing on several other TV shows with her Dad and has just welcomed twins with West Ham FC boyfriend Jarrod Bowen.
