He has isolated himself from his family, pushed his wife Celia out and attempts to immerse himself in a new case.

The missing persons are the husband and two sons of Emma Chambers, the British Ambassador to Hungary.

The series unfolds into a search for answers, not just people. Baptiste becomes increasingly suspicious of the Hungarian police force and questions the agenda of the prying media and their informants.

He must remain professional and unphased by the international focus on the missing persons, as he pursues the truth of what happened to Emma’s family.
