When does Love Island finish?

The current season of Love Island will end tonight, on Monday 23 August.

The end date of the popular dating show was confirmed in a Tweet by ITV that was published a few weeks ago.

The official Love Island Twitter account wrote: “CHANCE TO WIN: Want to join us at the #LoveIsland Final Screening Party on Monday 23rd August? @BootsUK have got two tickets (and they’ll put you up in a 5 star hotel).”

The Tweet also included a link to the Boots website where fans could read more about the terms and conditions of the competition, which has since closed.

Who is most likely to win Love Island?

According to betting site Paddy Power, these are what the current odds look like for the couples in the villa:

- Millie and Liam, 4/11

- Chloe and Toby 5/2

- Faye and Teddy 14/1

- Kaz and Tyler, 20/1

Liberty and Jake had been front runners to win the season, having remained coupled up since the beginning of the show. They were the first to take the step into official relationship territory, after Jake asked Liberty to be his girlfriend right before the lads entered into Casa Amor.

However, it clearly wasn’t meant to be as Liberty broke things off with Jake after feeling that things weren’t right between them.

The two left the villa just days before the final.

What do the winners get?

In the run up to the finale, the remaining couples in the villa are usually treated to a luxurious date away from their fellow islanders.

The last couples also generally get to enjoy a kind of prom night, where the boys dress up in suits and the girls put on beautiful dresses before exchanging heartfelt speeches to one another.

The finale itself is usually aired live, with host Laura Whitmore entering the villa to reveal to the islanders who has won the show, following the public vote.

The winning couple are then each given an envelope, one of which represents £50k of prize money, and the other is left empty handed.

The person with the £50k then gets the opportunity to split the prize money with their partner, or they can take the winnings for themselves - in the history of love island, no person has ever taken all the money.
