Anna is a Digital Reporter for the Edinburgh Evening News. She has a strong background in writing breaking news and crime stories, but has a diverse range of interests and expertise on areas including health, weather, lifestyle and theatre. Before starting her career in journalism, Anna graduated with a BA in Journalism, Creative Writing and English with First Class Honours from the University of Strathclyde in 2020, and was awarded the Merton Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement. She then went on to attain her Masters in Digital Journalism in 2021, and graduated with Distinction. During her Masters, Anna was the Editor-in-Chief of Aff the Record, a student news website which was shortlisted for national awards. She also won the Runner-Up prize for Student of the Year at the 42nd annual Scottish Press Awards. Anna joined The Scotsman in October 2021 as a Live Reporter, and after six successful months, moved to a role as a Digital Journalist for the Edinburgh Evening News.
