Maxi-Cosi recall: Recall alert for baby seat car from the Office for Product Safety and Standards

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a recall for a baby seat car.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a recall for a bay seat car. The risk description reads: “The product presents a risk of injuries because the indicator, which shows whether the seat is correctly fitted, may display ‘green’ even when the car seat is not fully attached to the base.

“As a result, a user may believe the seat is properly connected when it is not. This could cause the seat to move or detach, potentially injuring the occupant. The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.”

The Maxi-Cosi that has been recalled is the Maxi-Cosi Family Fix Slide Pro Base, the product reference number is 8065057110 and it relates to products manufactured between: 6 September 2025 – 24 March 2026. Owners who have the product have been advised to stop using it immediately.

Reddit users have reacted to the recall and one wrote: “Has anyone else registered for a replacement but not got any kind of email confirmation?

“We did all the forms and it confirmed our base has affected, website said “Thank you” at the end, but nothing in our inbox to confirm it went through. Im due in June and don’t want us to be chasing them later when I’m newly postpartum.”

Another Reddit user wrote: “If you got the “Thank you” message at the end of the form, that usually means your request went through successfully 😊

“I submitted my request and received an email with the track and trace details for the new base within 48 hours via email.

“If you are still worried, you can always message them directly for peace of mind. It sounds like your submission was received properly.”

One other Reddit user said: “Thanks, we eventually got an email asking us to reconfirm the name and address, then the new base arrived lunchtime yesterday… before baby made their own surprise appearance last night ☺️.”
