Black Crab: Netflix film release date, who’s in the cast with Noomi Rapace - and trailer

Swedish action thriller Black Crab, starring Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), comes to Netflix in March.

The directorial debut of Adam Berg sees six soldiers on a mission to transport a mysterious package across a frozen sea in a post-apocalyptic world.

Netflix will release Black Crab thriller on Friday 18 March, 2022.

Who is in the cast of Black Crab?

In order to save her daughter, Caroline Edh (played by Swedish actress Noomi Rapace) sets off on a mission to cross a frozen sea whilst carrying secret cargo - along with five other soldiers.

Rapace is best known for starring in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series and she also appeared in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.

Jakob Oftebro, an award-winning Scandinavian actor from the 2017 thriller, The Snowman, plays Nylund.  Winner of the Stockholm Rising Star Award 2021, Erik Enge, takes on the role of Granvik.

Dar Salim who will star as Malik in Black Crab, is also in the cast of first Danish Netflix film, Loving Adults, which is set for a global release this year.

Ardalan Esmaili is a popular face on Nordic TV, and she will play the role of Karimi.

Finally, Swedish actress Aliette Opheim plays Forsberg, and Swedish-Danish actor David Dencik plays the role of General Raad.

Dencik was recently on our screens as a Russian scientist in the 2021 James Bond film, No Time to Die.

What is Black Crab about?

In a post-apocalyptic world, six soldiers set off on a life-threatening mission across an ice-covered archipelag to transport a mysterious package.

Caroline embarks on operation Black Crab, as she is desperate to put an end to the war and bring her daughter back to her.

She is joined on her mission by Nylund, Granvik, Malik, Karimi and Forsberg.
