Celebrity MasterChef Christmas Cook-off: who is in the cast line-up of BBC Xmas special, and when is it on TV?

There are going to be two Celebrity Masterchef Christmas specials on BBC One this year, with former champions from previous years recreating Christmas recipes from around the world.

Gemma Collins, Oti Mabuse, Joe Swash, and Rev Richard Coles are all among those who are returning to the kitchen.

Who is in the line-up?

The first Celebrity Masterchef special will feature Strictly professional Oti Mabuse and The Only War is Essex star Joey Essex, both of whom failed to impress the judges when they appeared in the 2019 series of Celebrity Masterchef.

Joining them will be former football Neil Ruddock, comedian Judi Love, and actor Sue Pollard.

The second Celebrity Masterchef special will feature Gemma Collins and Joe Swash. Celebrity Big Brother star Collins made it to the semi-finals in 2018, before the judges didn’t like her sea-bass and sent her home.

Entertainer Les Dennis (who lost to Ade Edmondson in 2013), singer Mica Paris, and the Rev Richard Coles will also feature in the second special.

Usual judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode will also be there.

When is it on TV and how can I watch it?

The first Celebrity Masterchef Christmas Cook-Off special will air on BBC One on 21 December at 8pm.

The second special will air on BBC One on 23 December at the slightly later time of 9pm.

Who won Masterchef: The Professionals 2021?

The recent winner of Masterchef: The Professionals 2021 was Birmingham chef Dan Lee, who impressed the judges with a three-course meal inspired by his time living in Singapore.

Who won the 2020 Celebrity Masterchef Christmas Cook-Off?

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood was the winner of last year’s Celebrity Masterchef Christmas Cook-Off. He returned to the series thirteen years after his first attempt at Celebrity Masterchef, and impressed the judges with his performance in a number of festive challenges.

When is the next series of Masterchef starting?

It’s not yet known when the next series of Masterchef will begin, or the next series of Masterchef: The Professionals either, however both are currently looking for applicants.
