Emily in Paris star Pierre Deny has died at 69, he starred alongside Lily Collins in seasons three and four of Netflix series Emily in Paris.
Pierre Deny played the role of Louis de Léon, CEO of fashion giant JVMA and was the dad of Nicholas de Leon (played by Paul Forman). Nicholas de Leon dated Emily’s best friend Mindy Chen (played by Ashley Park). Actor Paul Forman paid tribute to Pierre Deny on his Instagram stories and wrote: “Heartbroken to hear of the passing of Pierre Deny. It was a privilege to work alongside him and to witness his warmth and talent up close.
“Thinking of his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.”
One Pierre Deny fan took to his Instagram page and wrote: “Rest in peace ❤️, he unfortunately left the series and now he is unfortunately gone for real, we will miss him ❤️😢.” Another fan said: “Infinite sadness.
“A comedian of great elegance and beauty, of unheard talent, of incredible charisma.
Kind and loving thoughts to him, his daughters, his family.”
Luce Mouchel took to Instagram and in a translated post from French, wrote: “Pierre, 7 years of filming together, taking the train together, having lunch at the canteen together, sometimes confiding, inviting each other from time to time and congratulating you for your hidden cooking talent, meeting our girls, clapping at the theater, calling each other "Doctor" usually, and I forget. A short decade of shared life that should not have ended so quickly and so brutally. I'm thinking of your daughters and their exceptional courage. Thinking of you, my last visit and your sparkling eyes, rest in peace, Dr. Dumaze 🤍🤍🤍.”

The news of Pierre Denny’s death was shared by his daughters in a statement through AFP via TF1, the statement read: “It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as 'Charcot's disease').”
