Top model star Paulina Lerch has been found shot dead at home next to husband

After Paulina Lerch’s family had been attempting to contact her unsuccessfully for a week, authorities found the bodies of her and her husband. The Daily Mail reported that “Police suspect her husband Sławomir, 47, shot her dead before killing himself at their home near Poznan City, Poland, on Sunday. He was reportedly found lying next to Lerch with fatal self-inflicted gunshot wounds.”

A revolver was found next to the dead bodies of Pauliina and her husband Sławomir and the house was locked from the inside. Stawomir was released from custody at the start of August, an alleged drug trafficker, along with 30 other suspects were arrested after drugs were found stashed in a warehouse. 

At this stage, it is not known when the shooting took place, Paulina’s family contacted the authorities after becoming concerned for her wellbeing. Paulina is best known for appearing on the model show Top Model in 2010 and was asked by the judges to pretend to be a dolphin on the catwalk.

Paulina not only appeared on Top Model in 2010, but also came back on the show eight years later in 2018. She however did not advance to the next stage on this occasion. 

Nata Slepokur wrote on Facebook that “Life is forever rotten without you sister,” she then shared a black heart, tagged Paulina’s name and shared a photograph of her. Friends of Nata replied to the post and one said: “I am so sorry for your loss Natalia… a beautiful star extinguished too soon,” whilst another person said: “Deepest condolences.”

The Sun reported that “it remains unclear whether Paulina’s death was murder or a suicide pact between the pair.” An investigation into what happened is ongoing.
