What is it about?

All of the usual cast of Death in Paradise will appear in the Christmas special, with Ralf Little (The Royle Family) appearing as DI Neville Parker, Josephine Jobert (Avenue 5) as DS Florence Cassell, Don Warrington (Rising Damp) as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, and Tahj Miles (Small Axe) as Trainee Officer Marlon Pryce amongst others.

Excitingly, the Death in Paradise Christmas special will also see the return of Danny John-Jules as Officer Dwayne Myers, who last appeared in Death in Paradise in Season 7. You might also recognise him from Red Dwarf or his time on Strictly Come Dancing.

There’s another series of Death in Paradise due soon enough – it’s set to arrive on BBC One on Friday 7th January at 9pm. A twelfth series has also been confirmed, due to air in 2023.

Series 11 will include a guest appearance from Tamzin Outhwaite (Eastenders). It’ll also introduce a new character to team as Shantol Jackson joins to play Sergeant Naomi Thomas.

You might recognise Jackson from films such as Sprinter and Yardie.

Why should I watch it?
