The biggest stars in Hollywood came together for the 74th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday night (12 September) - and before any of the award winners were announced all eyes were on the celebrity attendees to see what outfits they were wearing.
The awards ceremony, which took place in California, is one of the biggest events for television actors and actresses - and it is considered one of the four major American awards for performing arts and entertainment – the others being the Grammy Awards for music, the Oscar Awards for film, and the Tony Awards for stage theatre.

In keeping with the awards signature glamorous vibe, many wore outfits adorned with sequins, feathers and other embellishments.
Some, however, chose an understated elegance that was a nod to the beauty and sophistication of old Hollywood.
