Who is in the cast of How The Grinch Stole Christmas?

Jim Carrey (The Mask, Bruce Almighty) stars as the grouchy green meany who hates Christmas and plans to steal it from the people of Whoville.

The evergreen tale is directed by Ron Howard (Apollo 13, The Da Vinci Code) and was widely nominated for awards, winning one oscar for ‘Best Make-Up’.

The festive fave also features Taylor Momsen (Gossip Girl, Spy Kids 2), Jeffrey Tambor (The Death of Stalin, Meet Joe Black) and Christine Baranski (Mamma Mia!, Trolls).

What other film adaptations are there of Dr. Seuss’s book?

In 2018, an animated version of the Christmas chronicle was released in cinemas under the title ‘The Grinch’, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as the Grinch’s voice.

This version is scheduled to be on ITV at 1.45pm on Monday 20 December 2021.

The Grinch is also available to buy through YouTube, Google Play, Amazon Prime Video (£2.49) and Apple TV (£3.49).
