Taylor Swift may be thinking about driving away in a ‘Getaway Car’ after her split with Joe Alwyn hit headlines earlier this month and what better partner in crime and driver to whisk her away than F1 legend Fernando Alonso?

The Spanish two-time World Champion, 41, was romantically linked to the Midnights singer, 32, by gossip site DeuxMoi around the same time when sources confirmed Taylor and Joe had broken up after a six-year relationship.

An anonymous source messaged the Instagram account and said: “A couple of Spanish magazines have been posting about TS [Swift] and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso. According to them, the couple has been seeing each other for a week now. Nothing serious [though] since they are both recently single.”

While Taylor parted ways from Joe Alwyn, Aston Martin driver Fernando has also recently revealed that he and girlfriend sports commentator Andrea Schlager were no longer together.

As Fernando prepares for this weekend’s F1 race in Baku, Azerbaijan and Taylor continues on her sold out Eras Tour, the Spaniard couldn’t help but add a cheeky response to the rumours that he was seeing the ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker on social media.

The 41-year-old posted a simple video winking to camera on TikTok, now seen nearly three million times, listening to Taylor’s song ‘Karma’ with the caption ‘Race Week Era’.

In addition to the track alluding to his connection to the singer and the caption highlighting Taylor’s multiple ‘Eras’ such as Lover, Speak Now and Midnights to name a few, Fernando also recently branded himself the ‘Anti-Hero’ of Formula 1 in Netflix’s Drive to Survive - another hint to Miss Swift herself.

As expected, Swifties rushed to the comments section stating: “He definitely knows,” “You did this on purpose, you know what you are doing Alonso” and “Fernando really said ‘chaos’,” while Formula One themselves replied, “Never did we think in our Wildest Dreams this would happen.”
