A statement from the agency has confirmed three members of K-Pop group FIFTY FIFTY have had their contracts terminated by ATTRAKT.

South Korean record label and agency ATTRAKT have issued a statement confirming the termination of three contracts of the members of FIFTY FIFTY. The statement, released on October 19, confirmed that Aran, Sio and Saena are the members who have had their contracts terminated after ATTRAKT claimed they ‘left the agency without permission for the purpose of breaking the contract, slandered and defamed the agency.’

The statement, submitted by Infuse Creative, ATTRAKT’s US representatives, reads: “It has been confirmed that there was a conspiracy to break the contract by the CEO of The Givers, Sung-il Ahn(aka. Siahn), and the three members of FIFTY FIFTY who are our artists, Aran, Sio, and Saena. Accordingly, we hereby announce that we have terminated the exclusive contract of the three members, Aran, Sio, and Saena, effective October 19, 2023.”

“The three members, Aran, Sio, and Saena, left the agency without permission for the purpose of breaking the contract, slandered and defamed the agency, and to this day continue to distort facts and make false claims, repeating arguments that have been rejected by the court, without any remedy for the breach of contract. Going forward, ATTRAKT will take strong action against all parties who conspire to break the contract and do not show any remorse.”

The agency does praise Keena however, after the claim she attempted to convince the other members to ‘mend the improperness’ that had taken place ahead of the contract termination. “We are grateful to Keena for having the courage to return to the agency and confess the truth in regard to what had been happening during the time,” ATTRAKT included in their statement.

On June 28, the South Korean legal firm BARUN issued a statement on behalf of the girl group, declaring that they had taken steps to pause their exclusive agreements with the entertainment agency ATTRAKT; this action was initiated in response to the agency's breach of the contractual terms. However, a Seoul court later denied the quartet’s injunction in an August 2023 ruling.
