Is Oasis doing a 2026 tour? Fans in frenzy as Liam Gallagher tweets 'announcement imminent'
A new tweet from Oasis star Liam Gallagher has sent the internet into overdrive this morning.
The rocker has tweeted: "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT." As well as fans re-sharing and commenting on the update, Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, Oasis' rhythm guitarist responded, wrote "Boneheads a geezer." He also followed it up tweeting: "Hurry up @liamgallagher, I’m going out."
The post was also shared widely including on the Oasis subreddit, with one fan quipping: "I hope it's the documentary but it's probably just Liam joking again." Rumours are still circulating that the band could announce more dates.
Many are hoping that a series of European shows will take place next year to mark 30 years since they played Maine Road in Manchester and Knebworth in Hertfordshire. One user on X wrote: “Please be the Europe tour so that more people can experience the lrivelage of seeing Oasis Live, I mean merry Christmas”.

A tour next year is also being fuelled by a mural being spotted painted on the side of a building on Salmon Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. However, only part of the wall could be seen with a large black canopy covering the person on a crane and the wall itself.
What is visible though is the outline of Liam Gallagher's face. Other images shared seem to show the numbers '2026' in yellow fluorescent paint.
On Reddit, fans suggested "probably promo for the 2026 tour" and "new album first". Others were more dubious.
One user said: "Absolutely zero chance this is anything other than the pop up shop or something of the like. They would never commission this ahead of any 2026 announcement, because it will get out when someone like a contractor inevitably sells the news to the media. Also I highly doubt they would use the same ‘25 promo picture again”.
