When is The Apprentice final 2022? Date and UK time of Lord Sugar BBC series and who are the finalists

The Apprentice returned in January and over the past 11 weeks 16 contestants have been whittled down to two finalists.

The candidates were tasked with various challenges to test their acumen, from creating a marketing strategy for a luxury cruise liner to creating a tourism experience in Snowdonia.

The final episode of the series will see this season’s fired contestants return to help the finalists launch a new company.

They will create branding, design a digital billboard campaign, and create a television advert before pitching their business to Lord Sugar.

When is The Apprentice 2022 final?

The Apprentice final will air on Thursday 24 March on BBC One at 9pm. It will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer shortly after it is first broadcast.

Who are the finalists?

Harpreet Kaur and Kathryn Burn became the finalists after hotel manager Brittany Carter and online children’s store owner Stephanie Affleck were fired in the semi-final.

Harpreet, 30, from West Yorkshire, runs a successful coffee and cakes business with a six-figure annual turnover.

She runs and co-owns the business, Barni’s Desserts, with her sister, which caused concern for Lord Sugar’s aide Claude Littner.

During the semi-final interview stage, Littner said that she hadn’t built the business by herself as she claimed, because she had help from her sister.

However, Harpreet still managed to impress and made it through to the series finale.

Kathryn, 29, from Swindon, owns an online pyjama store, My Everyday Pyjamas, and is launching another website, My Christmas Pyjamas, soon.

She previously worked a range of jobs, from mortgage advisor to events manager.

When Kathryn was planning a family visit back home to Swindon from Australia where she was living at the time, she thought the family should buy matching pyjamas to celebrate the reunion.

From that idea, her business was born, and she now sells ranges of luxury pyjamas for men, women and children.

What are their business plans?

Both entrepreneurs plan to use the prize money to grow their current businesses.

Harpreet  wants to expand Barni’s Desserts and turn it into a leading UK brand.

The Huddersfield based dessert parlour currently has more than 8,000 followers on Instagram.

Burn plans to invest the show’s prize money into her pyjama businesses, hoping that one day her pyjamas will be “worn by everyone.”

Her business has more than 5,000 followers on Instagram.

Whether their business dreams will come true will depend on how each entrepreneur performs in the final episode of the season.

What is The Apprentice prize?

For the first six seasons of the show, winners were awarded a £100,000 a year job working for Lord Sugar.

In 2011 with season seven, the prize changed to a £250,000 investment into their business and a 50/50 partnership with Lord Sugar.

This is the prize which Harpreet and Kathryn are competing for, and although Lord Sugar’s aides, West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady and season one winner Tim Campbell, will advise the business magnate, the winner will ultimately be his own decision.
