Bad Education will be back on BBC Three this weekend, with the hit comedy show returning with a brand new series and cast for the first time in 10 years.
Written by Jack Whitehall, who played the role of teacher Alfie Wickers, season 4 will see a new intake of students begin their education at Abbey Grove, with two former classmates, Stephen (Layton Williams) and Mitchell (Charlie Wernham) now on the other side of the desk as newly qualified teachers.

The series returned to our screens in December 2022 for a one-off reunion episode, which featured Mr Wickers saying an emotional goodbye to Class K.

When is Bad Education season 4 coming out?
Bad Education season 4 will be released on BBC Three on Sunday 15 January. The first episode will air on BBC Three at 10 pm, with all episodes of the series available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Actor Charlie Wernham. who will be reprising his role as Mitchell, took to Twitter to share the news alongside an image of the new cast lineup.

Bad Education season 4 will see a whole brand new intake of students begin their education at Abbey Grove, with two former classmates, Stephen (Layton Williams) and Mitchell (Charlie Wernham) now on the other side of the desk as newly qualified teachers.
Reported by Comedy, series co-creator Syborn explained the new season was “for a whole new generation”. He said: “It’s been such a joy to work with Charlie and Layton again, as well as our room of new writers. Jack and I really hope that everyone will fall in love with our brilliant Class K 2.0, and we’re excited for a whole new generation to discover the show for the first time.”
Who stars in Bad Education season 4?
Season 4 of Bad Education will feature familiar faces including Williams and Wernham’s characters returning to sit on the other side of the desk. Mathew Horne (Gavin & Stacey) will also be back as Mr Fraser, although he will no longer be the school’s headteacher.
However, Whitehall will not be reprising his character of Mr Wickers who said an emotional goodbye to students in the Christmas reunion episode.

Asha Hassan as Usma

Asha Hassan plays Usma, who is described by Layton in an interview with BBC as being “very like Stephen.” He added: “I remember specifically being a part of the process of creating that character in the writers’ room. To then see the character actually come alive was really magical.”
Francesca Amewudah-Rivers as Blessing


In an interview with the BBC, Wernham admitted that “I’ve got a bit of bias towards Blessing”. He added: “Mitchell can see a little bit of himself in her when she’s running scams, making money, getting into trouble and being cheeky. She’s almost like his sidekick.”
Anthony J Abraham as Inchez


Anthony J Abraham is playing the role of Inchez, the actor is most known for starring in 18 episodes of CBBC drama Theodosia and ITV’s Tell Me Everything.
Bobby Johnson as Harrison


Keen to impress his teachers, much to his classmates despair, Harrison is the first TV role for actor Bobby Johnson.
Ali Hadji-Heshmati as Warren

Ali Hadji-Heshmati will be playing the role of Stephen’s favourite pupil Warren. The actor is best known for playing the role of teen murder suspect Abs, in Holby City.
Laura Marcus as Jinx


Laura Marucs has previously starred in BBC Three sketch show Laugh Lessons and Silent Witness. Her character Jinx is the school’s new posh and privileged pupil, filling the void left by Mr Wickers.
