Former cabinet minister and MP, turned GB News presenter, Jacob Rees-Mogg will star in his own reality TV series.

The former Tory MP for North East Somerset, who was one of numerous senior Conservative figures to lose their seats at the General Election on Thursday (July 4), has reportedly been filming a new fly-on-the-wall documentary. Rees-Mogg is said to have let cameras follow him around throughout the election period.

The series will show 55-year-old Rees-Mogg as he campaigned in his constituency as well as parts of his personal life with his wife Helena de Chair, aged 45, and their six children; Peter, Mary, Thomas, Anselm, Alfred and Sixtus. The couple have been together since 2007, after first meeting as friends in childhood.

Jacob Rees-Mogg told The Sun On Sunday last month: "Yes I have been approached. It is very flattering. I am thinking about it. I may be talking to them in reasonably short order."

A source added to the newspaper: "Jacob is a divisive, fascinating character who lives an old-fashioned life and TV producers think a fly-on-the-wall series could be a hit... He is very well spoken, staunchly religious, speaks fluent Latin and not afraid to air his views, which makes for a unique watch.”

Meanwhile, Jacob Rees-Mogg returned to his primetime GB News show State Of The Nation last night (Monday July 8) following his General Election defeat. GB News have rebranded Nigel Farage's show as 'GB News Tonight' following Farage's successful bid to become an MP. In the run-up to the show, Rees-Mogg wrote on X: “ Look forward to being back on @GBNEWS at 8pm this evening, with lots to discuss.”

The show is supposedly still being filmed as camera crew arrived with Rees-Mogg earlier today (Tuesday July 9) at the Popular Conservative group’s Westminster conference. The show has been made by production company Optomen and will stream on Discovery+. It’s not known when the show will air.
