Helen Flanagan’s shocking revelation as Celebs Go Dating fans accuse actress of doing the show for publicity

The former Coronation Street actress caused outrage in the latest episode of Celebs Go Dating. After previously revealing she had previously been “in love” with boxer David Haye, Helen Flanagan revealed another secret.  

After weeks of filming the dating series, the actress, 34, confessed that she actually had a secret boyfriend at home. The Corrie star was asked by Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn why she’s only telling the experts now, Helen said: “My feelings have just got stronger and more intense. I actually could see something with this guy at home being something really quite lovely. I think I am in love with him.”

Fans were shocked after Helen’s secret boyfriend was revealed and took to social media platform X. One fan wrote: “'What a waste of time from Helen. Why even go on a show if you have someone else back home #CelebsGoDating.' Another added: “'Helen Flanagan: 'I'm really honest, I'm really honest!' yet has a boyfriend??? Protest too much... Jeeze Louise! ...Seens she may just haved signed up for publicity in an attempt to gain relevance.”

Helen Flanagan is reportedly dating footballer Robbie Talbot and the couple were spotted dancing together at her recent 34th birthday party. The actress was previously engaged to Bristol footballer Scott Sinclair whom she shares her three children with. The couple split in 2022 after 13 years together. 

According to the Mail Online a Celebs Go Dating spokesperson said: 'During the filming of Celebs Go Dating, the executive producers discovered that Helen Flanagan was in a relationship outside of the CGD process. Once this came to light, Helen was asked to be transparent with the agents and her fellow celebrities during her next filming day. 

“As per the show's guidelines, all participating celebrities must be single. After discussing the situation, it was decided that Helen and her partner, Robbie, would meet with the agents to assess their compatibility, and Helen would no longer date members of the public. These developments will be featured on the show starting from episode 10.”
