How does I Literally Just Told You work?

The idea of the show to to test the short-term memory of contestants, who are challenged to answer questions which are written as the show progresses.

Not only that but contestants need to pay attention to everything as they are given the answers throughout the course of the show, hence the title.

Each correct answer adds to the cash pot prize and the final two contestants will face off against each other by setting their own questions.

The show has been created by Richard Bacon, who created other hits game shows such as BBC’s This Is MY House.

The former Big Breakfast presenter said: “I Literally Just Told You just feels like a natural Channel 4 show, who are a perfect fit for this, and it’s irreverent nature takes me back to my Big Breakfast days.

“I had this hunch that most people’s short-term memory is so bad you could just give contestants AND the audience all the answers in a game show, and they’d still get most of them wrong.”

Jimmy said: “Iwas so flattered that he asked me to host as he’s a pretty good host himself. He hosted the try-outs for this, and I really badgered, begged, cajoled and pleaded to be allowed to do this because great ideas for TV shows don’t come along very often and you grab one when you can.”

He described the short-term memory game as “the best pitch for a TV show” he’s ever heard, adding: “All the best ideas sound crazy when you first hear them, but I genuinely believe this idea will stay crazy for years. And most importantly, I like the title, which makes it sound like I’m properly annoyed with you just for asking me what it’s called.”

When is I Literally Just Told You on TV?
