I'm A Celeb bosses to use £21m mansion where Johnny Depp severed his finger during argument with Amber Heard
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
The ten-bedroom Diamond Head estate boasts some very fancy features, including a helipad, a 2000-bottle wine cellar, a cinema and even a landing strip for private planes. That should come in handy for getting this year’s line-up there, which includes Coleen Rooney, Oti Mabuse and Ally McCoist. It’s reported that the mansion will give the celebs one last taste of luxury before they head into the jungle.
The home has already been at the centre of an important celebrity happening as it is where Johnny Depp severed his finger in 2015 during an argument with then wife Amber Heard.

Hide AdThe famous connections don’t stop there either, as it was once owned by motorcycle world champion Mick Doohan and rented by Brad Pitt.
A source told The Sun: “Diamond Head is one of Australia's priciest properties so will suit Coleen down to the ground. The new location will bring showbiz sparkle to the series and the I'm A Celebrity team are finalising details about how exactly the property will be used and for how long.'
They added: “Viewers can expect lots of surprises and everyone's very excited about the celebrities lined up for the new series — it's going to be must-see TV.”
ITV have not yet commented on the rumours about the property.

Hide AdDuring the 2022 defamation court case between Depp and Heard, Hollywood actor Depp spoke about the fight between himself and his former wife at the property. He said the top of his finger was severed when she allegedly threw a bottle of vodka at him. She claimed, however, that he chopped off his fingertip with a knife during the argument. The then couple were in Australia while the actor was filming the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean film. Diamond Head had been rented for them by Depp’s team.
Depp alleged that Heard had become angry after she met with his lawyers to discuss a post nuptial agreement. She had claimed that one of the lawyers laughed at her, but he later found out that this was not true.
He told the court: “All I could do was try to calm her down and say I was not out to screw her over or put her in a position that was uncomfortable. It did not work, it escalated and turned into madness, chaos, violence. She was irate, she was possessed” He ended that he tried to remove himself from the situation but wasn’t able to.
He went on: “The house they'd rented for me in Australia was quite a large place. I think I ended up locking myself in at least nine bedrooms, bathrooms, that day as she was banging on the doors and streaming obscenities and wanting to have a physical altercation.”

Hide AdDepp described how Heard walked away after he locked himself in one room and then he walked downstairs to the rec room where there was a pool table and a bar. He said: 'I went behind the bar, I grabbed a bottle of vodka, and a shot glass and sat at the bar and I poured myself two or three stiff shots of vodka - first taste of alcohol in a long time.
“When she came down to the bar and found me there started screaming you're drinking again, the monster and all that. She walked up to me and reached and grabbed the bottle of vodka and stood back and hurled it at me”, Depp said, motioning the act of throwing. Moving his hand past his head, he went on: “It just went right past my head and smashed behind me.
“I stood up and walked behind the bar and there was a larger bottle of vodka, the kind with the handle. I grabbed that and sat in my seat, opened the bottle and poured myself a shot and drank it
“Miss Heard was flinging insults left right and centre. She grabbed that bottle and threw that at me.” Depp said he used the bench in front of him to show the jury where the bar was situated and leaned back in his chair.

My hand is on the edge of the bar like that, leaning over. She threw the large bottle and it made contact and shattered everywhere and I honestly didn't feel the pain at first at all, I felt no pain.”
“What I felt was heat and I felt as if something were dripping down my hand and then I looked down and realized that the tip of my finger had been severed. I was looking directly at my bone sticking out.
“The meaty portion of the inside of your finger. Blood was just pouring out and at that point I think I went into some sort of, I don't know what a nervous breakdown feels like but that's probably the closest I've been.
He continued: “Nothing made sense. I knew in my mind and in my heart this is not life. This is not life. No one should have to go through this. This feeling of being in the middle of some sort of nervous breakdown I started to write with my own blood on the walls, little reminders from our past that essentially represented lies she had told me, lies I had caught her in.”

Hide AdAfter the court case came to an end the jury found in favour of Depp. Heard was found liable in all three matters of defamation raised. Depp was awarded $10 million (of the $50 million claim) in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages (reduced to $350,000 per state limit).
Depp was found liable, however, in one of three matters of defamation raised and Heard was therefore awarded $2 million (of the $100 million claim) in compensatory damages.
