Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh return for the fourth and final season of Killing Eve

Killing Eve is returning for its fourth and final series on Monday 28 February.

The series, which stars Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Here’s everything you need to know about Killing Eve series 4.

What is it about?

Killing Eve is a cat-and-mouse spy thriller about the relationship between MI5 profiler Eve and glamorous assassin Villanelle – and the shadowy conspiracy that threatens them both.

Who is in it?

The series stars Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri, and MI5 profiler who becomes obsessed with assassin Villanelle. Oh is best known for her role in Grey’s Anatomy, but she’s also appeared recently in Netflix drama The Chair. She can soon be seen in Pixar movie Turning Red.

Jodie Comer joins Oh as Villanelle, the glamorous assassin at the heart of the show. Since starring in Killing Eve, Comer’s career has gone from strength to strength, and she’s been celebrated for her appearances in Channel 4’s coronavirus drama Help, Ridley Scott’s historical epic The Last Duel, and Ryan Reynold’s movie Free Guy.

They’re joined by Fiona Shaw (Ammonite, Andor), Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones), Kim Bodnia (The Bridge). Pam, a new assassin played by Anjana Vasan (brilliant in We Are Lady Parts), will also appear in Season 4.

For its fourth season, Killing Eve has a new showrunner once again: Laura Neal, who has previously written episodes of Sex Education, My Mad Fat Diary, and Daybreak, will be in charge of Killing Eve’s final season.

Is there a trailer?

Yes there is, and you can watch it – and Eve and Villanelle’s continuing game of cat and mouse – right here.

When and how can I watch it?

The series will be available on BBC iPlayer from Monday 28 February.

In the US, BBC America will air the first two episodes of Killing Eve a day earlier, and continue with double bill episodes each Sunday.

Will this be the final series?

Yes, this is set to be the final series of Killing Eve.

However, Jodie Comer has previously made hints to Digital Spy about the possibility of future spinoffs, saying “I think they’re kind of keeping their options open, like who knows what the future holds.”

So, take from that what you will, really.

Why should I watch it?

Because you’ll want to see how it all ends.
