Adult Swim President Michael Ouweleen has described the latest season as “iconic”.

After season 3 of the hit series, Rick and Morty was renewed for 70 episodes, promising seven more seasons to keep fans entertained.

When can I watch Rick and Morty season 6?

Rick and Morty season 6 will premiere in the UK on Monday 5 September at 4am.

The series will be available to watch on E4, with new episodes airing weekly at the same time and being reshown at a more suitable time Sunday.

What is the plot?

Season 6 might mean big changes to the status quo of the duo usuing Rick’s portal gun.

The finale of season 5 ended with Evil Morty blowing up the Citadel and destroying the Central Finite Curve.

Evil Morty used this as a chance to escape to a universe where Rick isn’t the smartest person.

Adult Swim have been releasing teaser videos of the upcoming season on social media and their YouTube channel.

In one of the clips, we see a glowing egg that is held inside the Citadel just as it was about to explode in the season 5 finale.

The glass is cracking as the soundtrack of “For the Damaged Coda” by Blonde Redhead.

Speaking to Deadline about the upcoming season, Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim said: “It’s hard to overstate the impact of Rick and Morty.

“More than a hit show, it is truly a global phenomenon.

“As we prepare to launch this soon-to-be iconic season, we will be giving fans a unique way to be part of the fun – so keep your eyes peeled.”

It shows Rick and the family getting into all kinds of trouble, set to the soundtrack of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid”.

How many episodes will be in season 6?

There will be ten episodes in Rick and Morty season 6.

After season 3 of the hit series, it was renewed for 70 episodes, promising seven more seasons to keep fans entertained.

That means that there will be ten seasons of Rick and Morty, with ten episodes each season.

Who will be in the cast?

Fans can expect to see the regular cast members return to Rick and Morty season 6.

Justin Roiland (Adventure Time) will once again be reprising his role as the voice of both Rick and Morty.

Whilst Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) will be voicing Beth, alongside Chris Parnell (Archer) as Jerry and Spencer Grammer (Greek) as Summer.

The show has also featured guest cast members in the past, such as Elon Musk and Steve Buscemi.

We can expect the same to happen for season 6, but there has been no confirmation about who could make an appearance.

It’s unlikely many people in the UK will be getting up for the 4am showing, so all episodes will be available to watch on catch up on All 4.

Episodes will also be repeated on Sundays at a more suitable time.

When will Rick and Morty season 6 be on Netflix?

The new season will not be dropping on Netflix anytime soon.

The streaming service will get the new episodes, but only after they’ve been shown on E4, as Channel 4 has exclusive rights in the UK.

A similar thing happened with Rick and Morty season 5, which debuted on E4 in June 2021, it took six months for the season to drop on Netflix in March 2022.

If the same time scale applies, fans could expect to watch Rick and Morty season 6 on Netflix UK in summer 2023.
