The White Lotus is back with a brand new season. Set in a new chain resort, this time in Sicily, it will feature some familiar faces alongside a brand new cast.

Jennifer Coolidge (American Pie) will reprise her role as Tanya McQuoid-Hunt alongside love interest Greg Hunt played by Jon Gries (Napoleon Dynamite) as they vacation at yet another luxurious resort.

New characters will be played by a star-studded cast including Theo James (The Time Traveler's Wife) and Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation). So, who stars in The White Lotus season 2? Here’s everything you need to know.

What is the plot?

Season 2 of The White Lotus follows a group of travellers as they vacation at a luxurious resort in Sicily. Whilst there will be some familiar faces, the new season will include a brand new cast.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Jon Gries who plays returning character Greg Hunt shared what fans should expect for the upcoming season. Gries said: “You won’t be able to figure out what’s going to happen. And it’s going to blow your face off. No, no, it’s crazy.”

Who stars in White Lotus season 2?

Season 2 returns to our screens with some familiar faces such as Jennifer Coolidge who played Tanya McQuoid-Hunt in season 1, alongside a brand new cast of actors including: Aubrey Plaza and Theo James.

Jennifer Coolidge as Tanya McQuoid-Hunt

Jennifer Coolidge is one of the few returning characters back for season 2, playing the role of Tanya McQuoid-Hunt. Following meeting Greg Hunt on her Hawaii getaway in season 1, she has now married him and the pair have travelled to Sicily for a romantic getaway.

Jon Gries as Greg Hunt

Gries is back in season 2 as well, playing Greg Hunt from Season 1, who falls in love with Coolidge’s character Tanya, despite being terminally ill. The two will continue their whirlwind romance in season 2.

Haley Lu Richardson as Portia

Haley Lu Richardson will be playing the role of Tanya’s assistant who goes on holiday with her to Sicily, much to Greg’s frustration. Richardson is best known for her role in The Edge of Seventeen and Split.

F. Murray Abraham as Bert Di Grasso

F. Murray Abraham plays Bert Di Grasso, an old man who travels with his son and grandson to Sicily. Abraham is best known for winning an Oscar for his role of Antonio Salieri in the 1984 period drama Amadeus.

Sabrina Impacciatore as Valentina

Italian actress Sabrina Impacciatore will be playing the role of Valentina, who is the manager of the White Lotus resort in Sicily.

Aubrey Plaza as Harper Spiller

Aubrey Plaza who is best known for her role as April Ludgate in NBC’s Parks and Recreation, will be playing the character of Harper Spiller, a woman who travels with her husband to Sicily for a holiday with his college roommate.

Will Sharpe as Ethan Spiller

Will Sharpe will play the role of Ethan Spiller, a newly weathly businessman who is invited along with his wife on holiday to Sicily by his college roommate.

Theo James as Cameron Sullivan

Theo James will play the role of Cameron, a wealthy and successful businessman who travels to Sicily with his wife Daphne and college roommate, Ethan Spiller. James is best known for playing Henry de Tamble in The Time Traveler's Wife.

Meghann Fahy as Daphne Sullivan

Meghann Fahy will play the role of Daphne, Cameron’s stay-at-home wife who comes on holiday with him to Italy.
