and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
A sharp fall in revenue and advertising at ITV has left many of the channel’s highest paid stars looking over their shoulders.
ITV is facing significant challenges at the moment, leading to widespread concerns about potential job cuts. Insiders have reported a sense of urgency, with high-profile contracts under review and programs like Good Morning Britain undergoing hasty revisions. Loose Women may also see changes as ITV aims to cut costs while protecting backroom staff jobs. This comes in the wake of a recent diversity initiative aimed at bringing fresh perspectives to the screen.

Hide AdSpeaking to the Sun a source said: “It's panic station time. The presenters' contracts are under major review when they come to expire - normally in August or September - and further cuts have been warned of."
Among those potentially affected are Adil Ray from Good Morning Britain and Dermot O'Leary from This Morning, both of whom are on 12-month contracts, making them theoretically more vulnerable. This uncertainty extends to the "Loose Women" panel, with some long-standing members feeling anxious due to the influx of new faces, not all of whom have resonated well with the audience.
It’s unknown whether pay cuts will be offered, particularly to some of the higher-paid stars on ITV’s payroll such as Lorraine Kelly, Ruth Langsford and Coleen Nolan.
However, the source added: “Dermot polls really well with viewers and absolutely no one wants him to go anywhere. So he’ll be safe. Editors are so concerned that they are sending staff daily 'heat maps' on ratings, showing which items lost viewers.”
An ITV spokesperson said: “We’re very proud of our teams, on and off screen, who produce brilliant live content every weekday. ITV’s daytime shows reach 7.5mviewers weekly.”
