I along with many have been binge watching Netflix’s ‘At Home With The Furys’ and there is undoubtedly one stand out star, and it is not Tyson, but his wife Paris. Anyone who doesn’t know anything about her might (wrongly I hasten to add), assume that all she is interested in buying designer clothes and living a lavish lifestyle.

When she was filmed in a uniform shop, one of her children was begging her to buy something there, but she refused and said they could get it cheaper elsewhere.
Paris Fury’s determination to not spoil her children is even more remarkable when considering the fortune of her husband Tyson Fury. According to Forbes, Tyson is worth $62m but is still shown ‘putting the bins out’ in the Netflix series.
What makes ‘At Home With The Furys’ so compelling is not only Paris Fury herself and their children, but the depiction of Tyson continuing struggles with his mental health and how difficult is for Paris to have to deal with it. As Carol Midgley of The Times said: “One of the reasons it works is because it is multi-layered, flipping between light and dark, with no one taking themselves too seriously. She then goes on to say “But at the same time there is a serious point: Tyson’s mental health.”

In March 2023, Tyson Fury revealed that his wife Paris was pregnant with baby number 7 on social media and said: “I get to do date night with my beautiful pregnant wife Paris. Gods is great. Seventh baby incoming, fantastic news to cheer me up.”
The words that stand out here are of course ‘cheer me up.’ Although Paris Fury’s pregnancy undoubtedly did ‘cheer’ Tyson up, he and the whole family have to contend with his mental health issues on a daily if not hourly basis.

There were demons there from a young age. It made it so much easier to accept what he was going through.”
