Second Marriage at Sight: When is E4 release date plus who is in the cast as several past MAFS UK and Australia contestants hit they have signed up
Some Married at First Sight favourites are heading down the aisle for a second time in a new spin-off show Second Marriage at Sight.
Almost a year after I first said I thought a Married at First Sight All Stars spin-off is needed - and in particular I'd love to see UK and Australia brides and grooms date - show producers have made my dreams come true.
The bosses behind MAFS UK and MAFS Australia have announced a show called Second Marriage at Sight which will see “iconic” faces from the show’s history return for another chance at happily ever after.
The show will see stars who didn't find love when they were contestants on MAFS UK being matched with past contestants from MAFS Australia. An official promo from E4 states that “love knows no limit or no time zone”. So, it seems that all those who take part are willing to move to the other side of the world if they do meet the one.
When does Second Married at First Sight start?
E4 revealed the crossover series on Instagram earlier this month, and hinted that fans won’t hve to wait long to see it.
The official Instagram post read: “Iconic faces from MAFS UK & Australia will risk it all for a second chance at love. Second Marriage at First Sight, coming soon on E4."
So, it sounds like the show could be airing in the coming weeks and months. That would also suggest it has already been filmed, but if that’s the case then we’re very impressed show producers have managed to film and keep everything secret. It could the case that filming is going to bring imminently and there will be a quick edit turnaround time.
No official release date has been announced yet, however, but we’ll update this page when a date is given.

Who is in the Second Married at First Sight cast?
Eight returning MAFS singletons are preparing to give the experiment another go, but an official cast list has not yet been announced.
Channel 4's head of reality entertainment, Steve Handley, hinted that viewers will definitely recognise the Second Married at First Sight cast though.
He said: "These eight well-loved MAFS singles didn’t find lasting love the first time, but they haven’t given up – and neither have we. Everyone deserves a second chance at love and this time they’re saying ‘I do’ to a stranger on the other side of the world, risking absolutely everything for another shot at getting it right. I think it will be our greatest love story yet."
Several past cast members have commented E4 Instagram post announcing the series, however, implying they’d love to be involved. They include Ella Morgan (MAFS UK series 8), Nelly Patel (MAFS UK series 10), Thomas Hartley (MAFS UK series 7), Leisha Lightbody (MAFS UK series 10), Nikita Jasmine (MAFS UK series 6), Chanita Stephenson (MAFS UK series 7). Amy Kenyon (MAFS UK series 9), Tasha Jay (MAFS UK series 8) and Polly Sellman (MAFS UK series 9).
One past contestant, however, has made it known he doesn’t want to be involved. MAFS UK series 10 groom Steven Springett commented with a meme of a man sighing and rolling his eyes. When a fan of the show replied to him and said “not you again” he responded “you’re right, definitely not me again. I don’t need it”, along with a laughing face emoji.
We also have no idea yet who will be the relationship experts guiding the couples through the experiment. There’s only one expert who currently works on both the UK and Aus version; Mel Mel Schilling - but she’s just announced she’s leaving the Australian version. So, it depends if the show has already been filmed or not. If it has, there’s a good chance this may be her left MAFS jobd with Australian links.
What will happen in Second Marriage at Sight?
While I previously said that linking up British and Australian MAFS stars may cause a slight issue if the couples hit it off and want to have a relationship in the real world as the distances between these countries are considerable, show bosses don’t seem to be concerned about this.
E4 has already explained exactly how the experiment will work for the second time brides and grooms, in fact. The synopsis for the show reads: "The experiment begins again in the UK; each couple will navigate cultural clashes and old wounds before they head to Australia to meet friends and family on the other side of the world and face the ultimate decision: who will consider uprooting their life for love?
"Will the Brits tempt their partners to trade beach life for Blighty, or will love pull them towards a fresh start under sunnier skies? For these second-timers, there's more at stake than ever before. These brides and grooms aren't just risking their hearts again, they're risking everything, their friendships, careers, and their homes, as one half of each couple takes a gamble on the possibility of a new life and new love on the other side of the world."
