Stacey Solomon pregnant: how many kids does singer have, who is Joe Swash’s son Harry - and when is baby girl due?

Presenter and singer Stacey Solomon has announced that she is expecting a girl with fiance Joe Swash.

The pair already share two-year-old Rex together, as well as three other sons from previous relationships.

Solomon, 31, shared the happy news on her Instagram on 2 July, just one month after she announced she was pregnant after struggling to conceive.

How many kids does Stacey Solomon have?

Solomon has three children and one step-child, all of which are boys.

Prior to her stint on X Factor in 2009, where she came third, she had her first son, Zachary, 12.

Solomon now also has a son Leighton, nine, and one son to fiance Joe Swash, two-year-old Rex.

Swash, 39, also has a son from a previous relationship, 13-year-old Harry.

When did she start dating Joe Swash?

It is unclear when Solomon and Swash became an official couple, having first met when she was crowned queen of the jungle in 2010 and Swash was co-presenting I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now, the show’s spin-off extra show, on ITV2.

In 2016, she sparked rumours that the pair were dating when she posted on social media about ‘feeling like a new woman’ following a spa day, and days later was snapped arm-in-arm with Joe.

Just weeks later, the pair became ‘Instagram official’, as Solomon uploaded a photo of Swash with a bouquet of flowers.

She told the Mirror, "It's going really well... We're having fun, spending time together and getting to know each other." Joe added to OK! online, "She's lovely, she's an amazing person... I'm really lucky."

By August 2016, Solomon was telling her Loose Woman co-hosts that she was keen to have children with Joe added: “definitely babies, that’s a good idea.”

Later that year, they began hosting the I’m A Celeb spin-off together and Solomon told Loose Women viewers she would like to marry Joe.

Joe spent Christmas 2017 with Stacey, Zack and Leighton, and the following October the couple moved in together.

In February 2019, the couple broke the news that they were expecting. Baby Rex, referred to by his parents as ‘Pickle’, was born in May that year.

Stacey said their other three sons had wanted a brother, and she felt scared that she didn’t know how to raise girls, adding “I know how to do boys, I’ve been raising boys for 11 years.”

Joe proposed to Stacey in December 2020, on a walk the pair have frequently enjoyed together in the woods.

The family are currently renovating their new home, which Stacey documents on Instagram. The house is thought to be near her family in Essex, with a wendy house called ‘Pickle Cottage’.

On 9 June, the couple announced that they are expecting their second child together following several miscarriages.

What did she say about miscarriages?

Stacey posted a story on her Instagram on 9 June, in which she told her 4.5 million followers that she was nervous to share some news with them.

In the video, she went on to show a positive pregnancy test followed by medical certificate which read “complete miscarraige”, she explained that this had been the reality for the couple since they began trying to conceive a while ago.

She wrote: “For a really long time we have been trying for another pickle… It didn’t work out and this was our news quite a few times…

She explained to fans: "We decided we were so lucky already to have our boys.

"It is our biggest privilege in life and we are so grateful to be parents so we stopped trying and counted ourselves so so so blessed already…"

How did she announce her pregnancy?

The story then showed footage of her receiving a scan on 8 June, writing in the story: “I’ve felt yuck for a while now and even though I thought about what it felt like I didn’t even want to check at first, because well you know (I don’t even like to write it).

“But yesterday we went to check what was going on… And we were so grateful to hear and extra heartbeat in my tummy.”

She then shared how they told their sons and spent the day preparing ‘Pickle Cottage’ - the wendy house in their garden - for another ‘pickle’.

The story showed their four sons painting the house and leaving handprints on the bench next to it, before placing a scan photo at the end of the bench.

She followed the story up with a post on her timeline of her, Swash and her three sons. Leighton held a baby scan in the snap.

Joe’s son Harry rarely features in publicly shared photos, though Joe has shared a handful of pictures in the past.
