Gü frozen dessert and Arran Fine Foods chutney recalled over potential health risks if eaten - what to do if you have bought any
A frozen dessert and a red onion chutney are being recalled due to them posing a health risk if eaten, the Food Standards Agency has warned.
Sweet treats - including a popular chocolate dessert - are being recalled, along with a range of chutneys that might contain metal. The Food Standards Agency has notified customers of recall notices for some batches of 2x85g packs of Gü Double Sea Salted Caramel Frozen Dessert and a range of Arran Fine Foods Caramelised Red Onion Chutney.
"Sometimes there will be a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold," the FSA said. "Then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
"Sometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk. When there is a food allergy risk, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert."
