£20.8m Marvel Infinity Gauntlet replica set with six real gems goes up for auction
Marvel fans with seriously deep pockets could get their hands on a jaw-dropping replica of Thanos' infamous Infinity Gauntlet, featuring six real gemstones.
Marvel fans with money to burn could snap up one of the most extraordinary pieces of superhero memorabilia ever created – a replica of Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet featuring six REAL gemstones.

The dazzling one-of-a-kind creation was valued at a staggering £20.8million ($25million) when it was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022. Now, the jaw-dropping piece is heading under the hammer in Abu Dhabi, although auctioneers have yet to reveal an estimate for the sale.

The gauntlet is a tribute to the fearsome weapon wielded by purple supervillain Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. In the blockbuster Marvel film, the villain uses the powerful glove to harness the six Infinity Stones before snapping his fingers and wiping out half of all life in the universe. But unlike the fictional artefact, this lavish replica boasts a collection of genuine precious gemstones.
Created by East Continental Gems, the unique piece features six real stones representing the legendary Infinity Stones: a ruby, garnet, sapphire, amethyst, emerald and yellow diamond. The spectacular item combines high-end jewellery craftsmanship with one of the most recognisable objects in modern cinema.

Ken Citron, chief executive of Julien's Auctions, said the gauntlet was an extraordinary item that defied easy categorisation. He said: "The Infinity Gauntlet is part fine jewellery, part tribute to the most celebrated saga in modern cinema, part cultural touchstone." He added that presenting the piece in Abu Dhabi as part of the Pop Culture Legends auction gave it a stage worthy of its unique status.
The gauntlet will go under the hammer at Julien's Auctions' Pop Culture Legends Evening Sale at Rosewood Abu Dhabi on December 8. Whether it attracts a billionaire Marvel obsessive, a serious jewellery collector or an investor looking for an unusual showpiece remains to be seen. One thing is certain: whoever lands the extraordinary collectible will own a glittering tribute to one of cinema's most infamous villains – without needing to wipe out half the universe to get it.
