Kate Middleton and Prince William are known to be famously competitive, so I wonder if Kate won’t be able to resist bragging about England winning the Wales and England clash at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

Kate looked incredible chic in a recycled Catherine Walker coat that she had first worn in 2018 during an official tour of Sweden and Norway when she was pregnant with Prince Louis.

Kate took over from Prince Harry as patron of the Rugby Football Union last year. Prince William is patron of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU). Prince Harry had to step down from the role of RFU patron when he and Meghan Markle decided that they wanted to step down as working royals. He took over the patronage from the late Queen in 2016.

When Kate Middleton took over from Prince Harry as patron of the Rugby Football League (RFL) and the Rugby Football Union (RFU) last year, she shared her thoughts about this via her and Prince of Wales’s Instagram account. “I am so thrilled to become Patron of the Rugby Football League and Rugby Football Union-two fantastic organisations who are committed to harnessing the power that sport can have in bringing communities together and helping individuals flourish.”

Last year, the couple were joined by Prince George at the Six Nations in 2022. For that occasion, Kate wore the Knightsbridge Houndstooth Coat from Holland Cooper and teamed it with high-waisted trousers and a roll neck. Kate also accessorised with Gianvito pumps, the ‘Mini Holly Bag’ from Tusting and £5 Accessorize earrings.

Kate is quite the fan of the brand Holland Cooper and has worn the label on several occasions. She wore their Full Length Marlborough Trench Coat to a private drive-in screening of the Disney film Cruella at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. Kate also opted for a Holland Cooper blazer when she and Prince William returned to the University of St Andrews where they first met as students.

When Kate Middleton supported the England Rugby team for the England Vs Papua New Guinea rugby match in November 2022, she wore a red Alexander McQueen coat that she wore over a wine-coloured roll neck top and skirt.
