Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kylie Jenner has announced the birth of her second child with partner Travis Scott, after confirming her pregnancy back in September 2021.

This is everything you need to know.

When did Kylie Jenner give birth?

Jenner announced that she had given birth to her baby via a post on her Instagram, which revealed that the child had arrived on 2 February.

The 24-year-old shared a black and white photo which showed her holding that baby’s tiny hand. While she did not reveal the gender of her child, some have speculated that the blue love heart emojis used in the Instagram announcement could indicate that the baby is a boy.

Her sister, Kim Kardashian, also commented on the post with a blue heart emoji and a boy angel emoji as well.

In the caption of the post she simply wrote: “2/2/22.”

Jenner has not yet revealed the name of her newborn.

She confirmed that she was pregnant with her second child in September 2021, when she posted a video on Instagram which showed her handing a positive pregnancy test to her partner Travis Scott.

The video showed a montage of different clips, including Scott smiling and hugging Jenner’s stomach, and Jenner getting an ultrasound at the hospital. The video ended with her and Scott’s daughter, Stormi, kissing her baby bump.

This marks the second child of Jenner and Scott, with their daughter Stormi Webster almost sharing the same birthday as her baby sibling.

Stormi was born on 1 February 2018, the day before Jenner’s newborn’s birthday.

Who is Travis Scott?

Travis Scott is an American rapper and singer, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II. He was born 30 April 1991 in Houston, Texas.

He released his debut studio album Rodeo in 2015 and his second studio album Bards in the Trap Sing McKnight in 2016 - but it was his third studio album, Astroworld, which garnered Scott critical acclaim. It was that album that featured his first Billboard Hot 100 number one single, Sicko Mode which featured fellow rapper Drake.

In 2020, Scott became the first artist on the Hot 100 to have three songs debut at number one over the course of less than a year. Throughout his career, he has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards, and won a Billboard Music Award and a Latin Grammy Award.

Scott dominated the headlines at the end of 2021, after his 5 November 2021 Astroworld Festival resulted in the death of 10 concertgoers and hundreds of others sustaining injuries.

Prior to the deadly Astroworld Festival, Scott had already built a reputation for dangerous audience environments at his shows. In a 2017 concert in Manhattan, Kyle Green was left paralysed after he was forced over the edge of high railing due to an out of control crowd.

According to the lawsuit which was filed six months after, Green broke several bones - including vertebrae in the fall. He was then dragged off the floor by staff “without a cervical collar, backboard and other safety precautions”.

How did they meet - and how long have they been together?

Scott and Jenner both admitted in a cover story for GQ that they can’t actually remember where they first met.

In a video for GQ, Jenner said: “We always knew each other, like we were hanging around each other - I mean, we just had mutual friends.”

The two were first linked after they were spotted holding hands at Coachella in 2017.

Speaking to GQ, Jenner said that after Coachella, she decided to join Scott on his tour.

She said: “He said, “I’m going back on tour - what do we want to do about this?” because we obviously liked each other.

“And I was like, “I guess I’m going with you” and then we rode off into the sunset.”

In May 2017, Jenner and Scott attended the Met Gala together, and on 3 May, Us Weekly claimed that the two were getting serious, with a source reportedly telling the outlet: “Travis is telling friends that he and Kylie are the real deal.”

A couple weeks later, TMZ reported that a source had said that they “have decided to do the committed relationship thing”.

In June 2017, the pair got matching butterfly tattoos on their ankles. Later that year, in September, rumours of Jenner’s pregnancy began circulating.

Jenner’s mother, Kris, addressed the rumours at the time, stating: “She’s not confirmed anything. I think it’s kind of wild that everyone is just assuming that that’s just happening.

“Something happens every single day. You never know what is going to break at any moment.”

After giving birth to Stormi, Jenner wrote on social media: “I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions.

In October of 2019, it was reported that the couple were taking a break but that they were “not done”.

A source told E! News that the two weren’t “officially calling it quits on their relationship, but are taking space apart”. A few days later, Jenner confirmed on social media that the two had split.

Fast Forward to March 2020 and the couple were seen together at a basketball game, with multiple outlets reporting that the two were back together.

In May 2021, rumours of their relationship were sparked once again after Jenner flew out to Miami to celebrate Scott’s birthday.

An anonymous source reportedly told Entertainment Tonight: “Kylie and Travis are messing around and having fun together.

“They’ve always had a strong connection and chemistry and they’re exploring their relationship romantically again.”

Scott appeared to confirm that they were back together on 15 June 2021, when he was honoured at the 72nd annual Parsons Benefit as a “visionary in fashion, technology and the arts”.
